Concept
Studio apartments built from scratch in inland Minas Gerais: simple volumes, soft tones and geometric gates give identity to a building designed for good living.
The challenge
To build a set of residential studio apartments from scratch in Catas Altas da Noruega, with its own identity and in keeping with the scale of inland Minas Gerais.
The concept
Simple volumes and soft colours express contemporary architecture in dialogue with the scale and landscape of inland Minas Gerais. Warm light and greenery welcome everyday life.
Materials and light
Ivory-white planes and a clay-pink volume organise the façade. Graphite gates with a geometric pattern and the garage gate with terracotta diamonds mark the entrances, enhanced by warm light and planting.
Site layout
A garage beneath pilotis and a side walkway link the building’s different levels. Light planes and the rhythm of the openings give unity to the rear façade.
